Key Responsibilities

Care Coordination: Liaise with specialists, hospitals, and community services to ensure integrated care pathways and follow-up.

Patient Communication: Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and families, ensuring informed consent and shared decision making.

Documentation: Accurately record consultations, management plans, referrals, and follow-up arrangements in the clinical information system.

Quality Improvement: Participate in practice meetings, audit and quality improvement activities to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience.

Essential Criteria

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification with current Australian medical registration.

Previous general practice experience and current clinical competence in primary care.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to cultural competence and respectful care for a diverse patient population.

Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage a full patient load.

Desirable Attributes

Experience in chronic disease management, aged care, women’s health, or paediatrics.

Fellowship with RACGP or equivalent postgraduate qualifications.

Additional skills in minor procedures, skin checks, or mental health care.
