Chef Role
As a Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work alongside the Head Chef to ensure high-quality food production and presentation.
• Contribute to menu design, development, and seasonal updates with creative input.
• Produce consistent, high-quality dishes in terms of taste, portioning, and presentation.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring clear communication and teamwork.
• Assist with managing kitchen budgets, inventory, and food costs.
• Continuously seek ways to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity.
Essential Requirements:
• Relevant Trade Qualification: Diploma or equivalent in commercial cookery or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar chef role.
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes.
• Knowledge of modern cooking techniques, food presentation, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing kitchen operations, including stock control, food cost management, and ensuring food safety compliance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Cook Role
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a diverse range of dishes while maintaining quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet the highest standards.
• Manage food preparation and cooking processes efficiently.
• Assist in menu development and culinary innovation.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• May train other kitchen staff or apprentices, as required.
Essential Requirements:
• Relevant cooking qualification.
• At least 2 years of post-qualification work experience.
• Ability to follow recipes and consistently replicate dishes.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
