MW Migration Solutions Production Manager Employment Type: Full-time Salary: AUD $80,000 - $85,00 per annum Location: South Australia About the Role Our client, Mount Boothby is seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager (Manufacturing) to oversee the day-to-day operations of their pig feedmill in Tintinara South Australia. This is a key operational position responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable production of high-quality livestock feed.

The successful candidate will manage production planning, staff, raw materials, feed quality, machinery, maintenance and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the pig feedmill and production activities. Plan and coordinate feed production according to livestock and farm requirements.

Supervise, train and coordinate feedmill production staff. Monitor automated and computer-controlled feed manufacturing systems. Ensure feed is produced according to approved formulations and quality standards.

Monitor mills, mixers, augers, conveyors, motors, batching systems and other equipment. Identify and troubleshoot production and equipment issues. Coordinate preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs.

Monitor grain, protein meals, additives and other raw material stocks. Coordinate raw material ordering and deliveries. Maintain accurate production, inventory, maintenance and quality records.

Monitor feed quality and investigate production issues or deviations. Coordinate feed production and delivery requirements with farm staff. Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised feedmill.

Monitor production costs, minimise waste and improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and company requirements. Support continuous improvement across feedmill operations.

Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in production management, manufacturing, feedmill operations or a closely related environment. Previous experience supervising production staff. Experience in an agricultural, livestock feed, food manufacturing or similar production environment is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning. Experience with automated or computer-controlled production systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Experience managing raw materials and production inventory. Good understanding of quality control and production standards. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Good computer literacy and record-keeping abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Qualifications A relevant qualification in Manufacturing, Production Management, Engineering, Agriculture, Animal Science or a related field will be highly regarded. Experience in feed manufacturing, grain handling, livestock production, quality assurance or HACCP systems will also be advantageous.
