Your new role
The Dynamics Developer will support the delivery of the council's program initiatives, adding business value by aligning objectives, scope, improvement opportunities, and technical requirements. This position plays a critical role in providing both functional and technical analysis to support business as usual, while ensuring the successful build of approved projects and minor enhancements from start to finish for all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Development :
Write and maintain code to develop custom modules, plugins, workflows, and extensions for Dynamics 365 applications using languages such as C#, JavaScript, and .NET.
Implement technical designs to enhance and extend system functionality in line with business requirements.
System Customisation:
Customize Dynamics 365 user interfaces, forms, views, and dashboards to meet specific business needs.
Tailor the system to meet department-specific requirements by modifying or adding new components.
Integration:
Integrate Dynamics 365 with other business systems and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
Use tools like Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and APIs to build robust, scalable integrations.
Data Management:
Handle data migrations and ensure data integrity across systems.
Implement data solutions and processes that enhance the usability and reporting capabilities of Dynamics 365.
Performance Optimisation:
Analyse system performance to identify and address bottlenecks.
Implement solutions that improve system efficiency and user experience.
Testing and Debugging:
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure all developed solutions meet both technical and functional requirements.
Collaborate with testers and analysts to resolve issues during the development process.
What you'll need to succeed
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of C#, JavaScript, .NET, and experience with Dynamics 365 custom development.
Analytical and Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse business requirements and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Collaboration: Effective at working in cross-functional teams, liaising with stakeholders to meet business needs.
Attention to Detail: Focus on accuracy in coding, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, frameworks, and practices to stay ahead in a fast-evolving technical landscape.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 development, including custom coding and system integration.
Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, .NET, and knowledge of Dynamics 365 APIs.
