Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-established team in the Burdekin region on a 6-month contract.
Working Monday to Friday, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a busy finance team while gaining valuable experience within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
Managing payment runs and ensuring invoices are paid within the required timeframe.
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Responding to supplier queries and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
Assisting with month-end processes and financial administration tasks
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
