About this job

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a dedicated Career Medical Officer to join a premier critical care team within a state-of-the-art private hospital precinct. Situated in a sophisticated clinical environment, the facility boasts fourteen modern operating theatres, cardiac catheterisation labs, and a high-functioning Intensive Care Unit. The successful clinician will operate within a high-growth health hub that prioritizes clinical excellence and innovation, supported by onsite radiology and pathology services to ensure seamless diagnostic integration and patient management.

The practice environment is defined by a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team structure. The incoming officer will work under the direct supervision of experienced Intensivists, all of whom are Fellows of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM). This role offers significant clinical autonomy while ensuring a robust support network is always available, including a highly skilled nursing contingent and comprehensive administrative and Clinical Data Management (CDM) support. As a key member of the rapid response team, the officer will manage the daily care of ventilated patients, conduct ward assessments, and facilitate the internal transport of critically unwell individuals.

Professional development is a cornerstone of this position. The facility actively encourages the pursuit of special interests and the refinement of procedural competencies. There are ample opportunities for ongoing education through both onsite and external Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities, and experienced clinicians are invited to take on supervisor roles to mentor junior staff. The position is ideal for those seeking to expand their clinical footprint within the private sector while maintaining high standards of evidence-based practice.

Recognizing the importance of a sustainable career, the role offers highly flexible casual working arrangements designed to foster a genuine work-life balance. Beyond the clinical setting, the benefits package is extensive, featuring novated lease opportunities, paid parental leave, and wellbeing programs such as discounted private health insurance and fitness passport access. The lifestyle benefits are equally compelling; the hospital is nestled in a prime coastal location, positioned perfectly between the vibrant boutique culture of local shopping districts and the iconic surf of nearby beaches. This is an invitation to join a team that values the individual as much as the professional, all while living in one of the most sought-after regions in New South Wales. Apply Now
