About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Service Technician / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated service team in Ravensthorpe. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of essential broad-acre farming machinery, including combine harvesters, high-horsepower tractors, and self-propelled sprayers. You'll play a key part in keeping our customers' equipment running efficiently, especially during critical seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a range of agricultural machinery.

- Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative servicing in both workshop and field settings.

- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and setup for new machinery.

- Work collaboratively within the service team and communicate effectively with customers.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed.

- Adhere to workplace health and safety standards.

Essential Requirements:

- Relevant Australian-recognised trade qualification (e.g., Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, Agricultural Mechanical Technology).

- Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel equipment, including complex hydraulic and electrical systems.

- Valid manual C Class Australian driver's license (or higher).

- A positive, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Requirements (Highly Regarded):

- Previous experience specifically with agricultural machinery (tractors, harvesters, sprayers).

- Field service experience.

- Experience with electronic diagnostic tools.

Base rate would be $45 p/hour or more depending on skills and experience of the candidate.
