Pastry Cook

We are currently offering a kitchen role to a passionate Pastry Cook that prides themselves on quality, attention to detail and creativity. This individual will be part of our team of likeminded professionals that have a passion for handmade artisan patisserie.

Job tasks and responsibilities

As one of our Pastry Cooks, you will be required to assist the Pastry Chef and the Sous Chef in managing the daily operations of the kitchen.

Your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

· Production of daily bakery and patisserie items including preparing doughs and pastry fillings, baking, glazing and decorating pastry products.

· OH&S and Food Safety compliance

· Undertaking training and development

· Stock control, COGS management and ordering

· Assisting in the creation of new and innovative pastry products

· Adhering to dietary guidelines and allergen management

Skills and experience

We are seeking a driven individual, who possesses the following attributes:

Proven at least one (1) year of relevant industry experience in a Pastry Cook role, with at least two (2) current referees provided on your resume

Trade qualifications in Patisserie or Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or above)

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Motivated, punctual and loyal with a genuine drive for creating high quality, consistent and innovative products
