Key Duties

* Cook and present meals according to menu standards

* Manage your section and deliver consistent, high-quality dishes

* Contribute to seasonal menu changes and specials

* Mentor and train junior/apprentice kitchen staff

* Demonstrate cooking techniques and share best practices with the team

* Monitor stock levels and support cost control initiatives

* Plan menus and order supplies as required

* Ensure compliance with OHS, HACCP, and food safety regulations

* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment

Requirements

* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)

* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a comparable restaurant environment

* Strong knowledge of safe food handling, HACCP, and OHS standards

* Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills

* Passion for local produce, sustainability, and innovation

* Food Safety certification and solid understanding of OHS compliance

* Positive, team-focused attitude and a strong work ethic
