INKD SMP is a specialist cosmetic tattooing and semi-permanent beauty studio located in Windsor, Melbourne VIC. The studio provides a range of advanced beauty and cosmetic services, including scalp micropigmentation, cosmetic tattooing, semi-permanent brow and eyeliner treatments, skin pigmentation camouflage, skin treatments and client consultation services.

We are seeking a qualified, skilled and client-focused Full-Time Beauty Therapist to join our specialist team. The successful candidate will combine strong technical ability, skin assessment and treatment planning skills, precision, client communication, hygiene awareness and professional care to deliver high-quality beauty, skin and semi-permanent cosmetic treatments.

Purpose:

To provide professional beauty therapy, skin and semi-permanent cosmetic services, including client consultation, skin assessment, treatment planning, treatment delivery, aftercare and follow-up, while maintaining strict hygiene, safety and client-service standards.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks

• Consult with clients regarding beauty needs, treatment goals, skin characteristics, treatment history, preferences, contraindications and desired outcomes.

• Conduct pre-treatment consultations and skin assessments to determine treatment suitability, including colour and design planning, treatment explanations, consent documentation and aftercare planning.

• Provide skin care and skin pigmentation camouflage treatments, including assessment of pigmentation concerns, colour matching and correction, treatment planning, treatment application and post-treatment skin care.

• Perform cosmetic and corrective beauty treatments, including cosmetic tattooing and semi-permanent eyebrow and eyeliner treatments, involving treatment planning, design and mapping, pigment and colour selection, treatment application and aftercare guidance.

• Perform scalp micropigmentation treatments, where suitable, including hairline enhancement, density treatments and scar camouflage, applying knowledge of skin anatomy, pigment and colour theory, colour correction, facial symmetry, healing stages and treatment safety.

• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, tools, pigments and consumables and maintain strict hygiene, sterilisation and infection-control procedures.

• Maintain accurate client records, treatment notes, consent forms, before-and-after photographs, aftercare records and follow-up appointment details.

• Provide professional advice on treatment suitability, skin care, healing, maintenance requirements, beauty and skin care products and aftercare.

• Evaluate beauty therapy processes, treatment outcomes, pigment retention, client feedback and product suitability to support continuous improvement in service quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant qualifications in a related field.

• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.

• Experience in beauty therapy, skin treatments and semi-permanent cosmetic treatments; cosmetic tattooing and/or scalp micropigmentation experience is highly regarded.

• Strong knowledge of client consultation, skin assessment, treatment planning, skin pigmentation and colour theory, hygiene, sterilisation and infection-control procedures.

• Excellent client consultation, communication and customer service skills, with strong precision and attention to detail.

• Professional, reliable and able to work independently while contributing positively to a studio team.
