About the Position:

The Airconditioning and Mechanical Services Plumber plays a central role in delivering Cool & Heat Mode Pty Ltd’s core services by installing, maintaining and repairing piping, ducting and equipment for heating, cooling and ventilation systems. This hands-on trade position ensures systems operate efficiently and safely, supporting the company’s reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service delivery across its ACT client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Study drawings, specifications and site conditions to determine the layout of mechanical services, ducting and associated materials

Assemble, position and install air handling units, airconditioning equipment, small-bore heating systems and related mechanical plant

Fabricate, install and secure ductwork, piping and associated components for heating, cooling and ventilation systems

Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and perform routine maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance

Test systems for leaks, airflow, pressure and correct operation, making adjustments as required

Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, WHS requirements and manufacturer specifications

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and any issues identified on site

Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors and other trades to coordinate works and deliver professional service

Minimum Certificate III in Airconditioning and Mechanical Services Plumbing or a related field, or at least 3 years of experience as an Airconditioning and Mechanical Services Plumber or in a highly relevant field.

2–3 years of experience as an Airconditioning and Mechanical Services Plumber or in a highly relevant field.

Strong technical skills in the installation, maintenance and repair of airconditioning, heating and ventilation systems, including the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, WHS practices and safe work procedures.

Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a small team and interact professionally with clients.

Reliable, practical approach with attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
