Position Description

We are looking for a Passionate and Skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will help prepare, cook, and present high-quality Indian cuisine while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistent flavour, portioning, and presentation that meets our brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items according to the recipes

• Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation

• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards (NSW Food Authority / HACCP)

• Assist in stock control, inventory, food storage, and FIFO principles

• Help with kitchen opening/closing procedures and daily prep

• Work collaboratively with kitchen & front-of-house teams

• Assist with development of daily specials and seasonal menu items

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations

Full-Time Permanent Role

Salary : $55,000 - $79,499 plus Superannuation

Required Qualification

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant

• Strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques

• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Desirable:

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent hospitality qualification

• Experience in Indian cuisine or multicultural kitchen environments

• Local Candidates
