Commissioning and Audio Visual Technician

Our services include content management systems, creating animated content, display control software, remote monitoring platforms, remote monitoring dashboards, and client control interfaces.

We are looking for a LED Commissioning Technician with experience in coding to join our close-knit team of experts from our base at Homebush West.

You would report to our operations manager to provide our clients with technician-level ICT support in the installation, and use of our LED products and networks. Our clients operate in hospitality, pubs and clubs industry.

We will provide you with training in product certifications as required, and you will have a keen interest in maintaining your knowledge of relevant emerging technology.

About our role

Our LED Commissioning Technician will use client specifications to determine software and hardware requirements, and provide technical solutions, including adapting existing programs by maintaining program code for our large format LED display products.

The role requires understanding the core operations, processes, and functions of our products and services within each client business, which operate within commercial, hospitality, retail, gaming and sports environments.

Responsibilities and duties of the role

- Determine software and hardware requirements for LED display systems and provide solutions to technical problems, based on technical specifications, system designs and flow charts.

- Respond to client and internal technical inquiries regarding software and hardware problems affecting LED display systems.

- Adapt and configure existing display control software, content management systems and monitoring platforms to meet individual client requirements.

- Install and download appropriate software, firmware and updates for LED display control and monitoring systems.

- Ensure the efficient use of applications and equipment across varied display configurations and individual deployed client environments while ensuring efficient use of our applications and equipment

- Implement and configure computer networks to support LED display control, monitoring and content delivery systems.

- Maintain client-facing web dashboards and portals used for remote monitoring and control of LED display systems.

- Configure Novastar and Colorlight LED control systems as part of hardware and peripheral setup.

- Repair, replace and maintain peripheral equipment associated with LED display systems, including controllers, media players and related hardware.

- Maintain clear technical documentation, including system configuration records and support notes.

- Apply cyber security principles when configuring systems, to ensure client environments remain secure.

About You

- Advanced Diploma or Diploma in an ICT-related field, or at least three years of relevant experience as a technician in the AV industry or other client focused technician roles dealing with emerging technologies.

- Experience installing, configuring or troubleshooting control platforms such as Q-SYS, Crestron or similar AV/control systems.

- Experience with Novastar and/or Colorlight LED controllers and associated software.

- Experience with media players and content management systems.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in client environments.
