As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Project Procurement Specialist to strengthen our procurement capability and support our growing project portfolio.
About the Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Project Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement activities across renewable energy projects from supplier sourcing through to contract administration and project delivery.
This position requires close collaboration with suppliers, project managers, engineering teams, warehouse personnel and senior management to ensure procurement activities are completed efficiently, commercially and in accordance with company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support renewable energy projects and business operations.
• Source, evaluate and manage domestic and international suppliers of solar PV modules, battery storage systems, inverters, electrical equipment and related products.
• Coordinate supplier selection, request for quotations (RFQs), tendering activities and commercial evaluations.
• Review supplier qualifications, technical submissions and commercial proposals to ensure compliance with company procurement standards.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and supply agreements with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Prepare, review and maintain procurement documentation, supplier records, contract files, purchasing reports and procurement registers.
• Coordinate procurement information between suppliers, engineering teams, warehouse operations and project management personnel.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, procurement risks and inventory requirements.
• Support contract administration, procurement compliance and document control throughout project delivery.
• Analyse procurement costs, market pricing and supply chain performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
• Maintain accurate procurement records to support auditing, inventory management and future purchasing decisions.
Essential Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business or another closely related discipline.
• Minimum five years' professional experience in project procurement, procurement management or supply chain management.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier management, tender coordination, commercial evaluation and contract administration.
• Strong commercial negotiation, procurement planning and supplier relationship management skills.
• Excellent organisational, documentation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to coordinate procurement activities across multiple stakeholders and departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with overseas manufacturers, suppliers and international business partners.
Desirable Qualifications
• Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
• Experience within the renewable energy, construction, infrastructure or electrical equipment industries.
• Knowledge of international procurement, import logistics and supply chain operations.
• Experience using ERP, procurement or inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with procurement compliance, contract administration and tender management processes.
