Position Overview

Thai Connection is a Thai restaurant located in Sydney CBD, offering authentic Thai cuisine and dine-in service. We are committed to delivering high-quality food, consistent flavours and an excellent customer experience.

We are seeking an experienced Cook to prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes under the direction of our Chefs. The successful candidate will follow established recipes and restaurant standards while maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and hygiene. This position requires knowledge of Thai ingredients and cooking techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and restaurant standards.

• Prepare, portion and store ingredients appropriately.

• Monitor the quality, taste and presentation of meals.

• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen in accordance with food safety requirements.

• Work effectively with the Chefs and other kitchen staff during service.

Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant AQF qualification or equivalent relevant experience

• At least 2 years experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen

• Knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients and cooking techniques

• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements

• Ability to work efficiently as part of a kitchen team

• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration package ranging from $79,500 to $82,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
