Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team in Wentworthville, New South Wales 2145. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of carpentry duties associated with residential construction projects, including measuring, cutting, assembling, installing and repairing timber structures and fixtures in accordance with construction standards, building codes and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials, measurements and installation requirements.

• Select and prepare timber and other building materials and organise layouts for carpentry work.

• Measure, cut and shape timber and related materials using hand and power tools to meet project specifications.

• Assemble and install structural frameworks, sub-flooring systems and floorboards while ensuring accuracy and stability.

• Fit and secure building components including door frames, window frames, skirting and other structural fixtures.

• Construct and join timber components to form structures and fittings ready for installation.

• Repair, replace or renovate damaged wooden structures, fittings and flooring components as required.

• Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure compliance with building standards, safety requirements and project specifications.

Essential Skills and Experience

• AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in Carpentry, or an equivalent qualification.

• At least one (1) year of relevant full-time work experience as a Carpenter.

• Strong understanding of construction techniques, timber materials and flooring installation methods.

•Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings.

• Proficiency in using carpentry tools, machinery and measuring equipment.
