Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing motor vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant safety requirements and manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical faults and problems.

Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.

Repair and replace engines, transmissions, suspension, steering and braking components.

Diagnose and repair faults in cooling, fuel, ignition and exhaust systems.

Use diagnostic equipment and mechanical testing tools to identify faults.

Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements efficiently and accurately.

Conduct vehicle testing and road tests following repairs.

Interpret technical information and manufacturer specifications.

Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs and parts used.

Identify additional repair and maintenance requirements.

Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.

Work cooperatively with other workshop staff and communicate effectively with customers and management.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

Relevant qualification in Motor Mechanics / Automotive Technology.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.

Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and vehicle components.

Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair a range of mechanical faults.

Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Current Australian driver's licence is desirable

Salary and Employment Conditions

The position is offered on a full-time basis with an annual salary of $78,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and relevant experience.
