Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and interpret landscape plans and drawings, select appropriate plants and materials, and coordinate the scheduling and preparation of landscape construction works.

• Set out and construct landscape areas, incorporating both hardscape and softscape elements in accordance with design plans and site requirements.

• Construct and install landscape features including paved and gravel areas, walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture.

• Prepare seedbeds and growing sites, then plant and establish trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, bulbs, and other suitable vegetation.

• Prepare lawn areas by spreading and levelling topsoil, planting grass, and laying instant turf to achieve the required landscape finish.

• Determine irrigation requirements and install, test, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including associated pumps, meters, and water delivery components.

Qualifications & Experience

• AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV, or equivalent relevant qualification.

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience as a Landscape Gardener or in a closely related landscaping position.

• Demonstrated ability to interpret landscape plans and drawings and carry out construction work accordingly.

• Ability to safely use landscaping tools, equipment, and machinery and follow workplace safety requirements.

• Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
