Full Time Chef Potts Point

Bloom Potts Point is looking for an experienced Chef to join our small, busy kitchen team in Potts Point.

The role involves working across our à la carte service, group events, private functions and pasta classes, with a strong focus on Italian-inspired food, fresh pasta and seasonal produce.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard

Managing food preparation and service across lunch, dinner, functions and events

Preparing fresh pasta and Italian-inspired dishes

Assisting with menu development, specials and seasonal menu changes

Monitoring food quality, portion control and presentation

Managing stock rotation, storage and food wastage

Receiving and checking supplier deliveries

Maintaining food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards

Assisting with ordering and stock control

Working independently during service when required

Coordinating with other chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

Training and supervising junior kitchen staff where required

Supporting the Head Chef/venue management with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen

The successful candidate will have professional commercial kitchen experience, strong organisational skills and the ability to work calmly and independently in a busy hospitality environment.

Experience with Italian cuisine and fresh pasta is highly regarded.

Full-time position – approximately 38 hours per week.
