Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 + Superannuation

Property Fire Maintenance (PFM) is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our growing passive fire protection team in Perth.

This is a full-time position primarily focused on fire doors and associated carpentry works across commercial, industrial and government projects throughout Western Australia.

Duties & Responsibilities

Installation, replacement and repair of fire-rated doors and door sets

Installation and adjustment of door frames, hinges, closers, locks, seals and associated hardware

Fire door inspections and defect rectification

General carpentry and remedial works associated with passive fire protection

Modification and rectification of existing doors and frames

Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and site documentation

Ensuring installations meet project specifications and relevant Australian Standards

Completing QA documentation and recording completed works

Coordinating with site supervisors, builders and other trades

Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and site presentation

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent recognised trade qualification

Current White Card

Current Australian driver's licence

Strong carpentry and practical problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication and organisational skills

Highly regarded:

Previous experience with fire doors or passive fire protection

Commercial construction experience

Knowledge of fire door compliance and relevant Australian Standards

Working at Heights
