Carpenter – Full-Time

Byzantine REO Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our construction team in Western Australia on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will undertake general carpentry and formwork activities across construction projects, working from plans, drawings and specifications and ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and to project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications

Measure, mark, cut and shape timber and other construction materials

Construct, erect and dismantle formwork

Set out carpentry and formwork structures

Install and maintain temporary supports and frameworks

Check dimensions, levels, alignment and quality of completed work

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

Carry out repairs, adjustments and associated carpentry work

Work with other trades and site personnel to meet project requirements

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Follow workplace health and safety requirements, SWMS and site procedures

Perform other duties consistent with the Carpenter occupation

Essential requirements:

Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent relevant qualification

Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter

Demonstrated construction and/or formwork experience

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings

Ability to safely use carpentry hand and power tools

White Card

Ability to work safely and effectively within a construction team

Current Australian driver's licence or reliable ability to travel to work sites

Desirable:

Formwork experience

Civil or commercial construction experience

Additional relevant construction tickets

Employment: Full-time

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: $95,000 per annum + superannuation
