Accommodation Manager

We have a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1867. Located on Mollison Street, it has long been a cornerstone of the local community, offering dining, accommodation, and entertainment. The hotel is particularly noted for its Irish heritage and connection to the vibrant history of Kyneton, a town that thrived as a hub during the Victorian gold rush. In the 1930s, the Shamrock underwent significant remodelling to include distinctive Art Deco features, including a pink brick facade and a sweeping balcony, which remain defining elements of its architecture today. Over the years, the hotel has maintained its reputation as a friendly and welcoming space, serving as a venue for community gatherings and celebrations. We are looking for a someone who has proven experience as Accommodation Manager or relevant role and understands all best practices and relevant laws and guidelines. They will play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction, expanding clientele, and upholding the hotel’s reputation. You will need to have over 4 years’ experience in hospitality with Accommodation Manager experience. We are offering $80K to $90K

You will be required to;

Guest Services and Experience

• Ensure guests or residents enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay by addressing inquiries, complaints, & special requests promptly

• Coordinate room assignments, reservations, VIP accommodations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness & comfort

• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction

Staff Management

• Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance staff

• Plan and organize daily activities, ensuring sufficient staffing to meet operational demands

• Handle HR-related issues, enforce health and safety protocols, and maintain team performance standards

Operational Oversight

• Oversee daily lodging operations, including housekeeping workflows, front desk management, and room availability in Property Management Systems (PMS)

• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and brand standards

• Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

• Coordinate with other departments, such as catering and events, to manage group bookings and VIP arrivals

Policy and Compliance

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to maintain high service standards

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations

• Report to the General Manager or senior management on occupancy, revenue, and departmental performance
