Intermediate Accountant

Salary: $75,000 to 85,000 + Superannuation

GCG Accountants is employing for the role of Accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The Position is full time, office based and is available for an immediate start.

We are seeking a professional and energetic individual with strong communication, organizational & people skills and can demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor of Accounting or Commerce or higher

• Study towards or qualification of CPA or CA Membership

• Experience in preparing Financial Statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships

• Experience in preparing Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts & SMSF

• Competence in using Access HandiSoft and Access HandiTax

• Competence in using various Software applications including MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks, Microsoft Suite

Your job will include, but is not limited to:

- Preparation of Financial Statements including Trial Balance and completion of all associated Work Papers.

- Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Companies, Trusts and Superannuation Funds.

- Preparation and lodgement of other ATO forms, including but not limited to quarterly/monthly/annual BAS, IAS, FBT Returns, TBAR, TPAR

- Preparation of ASIC reports & forms

- Liaise with and advise clients and other staff members on various taxation and accounting matters in person, by phone, email or letter

- Communicate with the Australian Taxation Office and other government offices

- Assist with other taxation and accounting compliance activities
