Position Title: Full-time Taxation Accountant

Salary: A$ 79,499 + Superannuation

Our team is highly qualified, with our key professionals CA-trained to the highest technical and ethical standards across accounting, taxation, finance and business advisory. We pride ourselves on delivering quality professional services while building strong, long-term relationships with our clients. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Taxation Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financials and tax returns for a diverse range of clients

• Assisting with tax planning and compliance, GST, PAYGW & BAS reporting

• Advising and completing the book-keeping requirements of clients, excel spreadsheets, software packages (Myob, Xero, Reckon, Quickbooks)

• Advising clients with ad-hoc queries in a timely manner

• Liaison with the ATO for various matters of business and individuals

• Assisting with advice on business structures, forecast budgets and business operations

• Maintaining accounting systems such as MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks and Cashflow Manager

• Keeping up to date with tax legislation changes and industry trends

Qualifications: to excel in this role, you should possess;

• 2+ years' full-time business services/tax experience in a public practice firm

• Minimum a Graduate Diploma of Charted Accounting and bachelor’s degree qualification

• Knowledge of various accounting software (MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks and Cashflow Manager)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High level organization skills to manage files and records

• High level of attention to detail

• Efficient time management skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Confidence in the ability to develop strong client relationships

• Ability to contribute as a valued member of the team but also have self-motivation to work independently
