Do you have a genuine passion for caring for others? Cooinda Coonabarabran Limited, a well-established not-for-profit aged care facility in the heart of Coonabarabran, is seeking six compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to join our team.

About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life in a safe, respectful, and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, grooming, and mobility

• Provide emotional support and companionship

• Support residents during exercise, therapy and mealtimes where required

• Participate in writing and following care plans for individual residents

• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing

• Maintain accurate care documentation

• Work collaboratively with nurses and other allied health staff

Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent

• Previous experience in aged care or a similar care environment (preferred)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused attitude

• Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)

Desirable

• Manual handling training

• Basic knowledge of aged care quality standards

• Familiarity with electronic care systems (advantageous but not essential)
