Diesel Motor Mechanic

We are one of Victoria’s and Queensland’s leading Civil Construction Contractors in Australia. We manage the design and construction of civil engineering projects for government, corporate property developers, and private landowners. Our expertise includes residential subdivision, road and bridge construction, road infrastructure, industrial and commercial sub-division, bulk earthworks, and land remediation. We have a large team of experts including, project managers, site supervisors, safety managers, machine operators, equipment mechanics and construction workers.

We are now looking for a Diesel Motor Mechanic with a relevant qualification to join our team. To apply for this role, you must be qualified, reliable, punctual and worked in a similar role for over 7 years and be able to start immediately. We are offering $100K - $110K plus super

Required Tasks;

• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized & other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.

• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts to ensure equipment functionality and safety.

• Performing routine maintenance checks on machinery to thwart potential failures and guarantee smooth operations.

• Interpreting technical manuals and drawings to execute repairs and enhancements.

• Collaborating with other mechanics and management to maintain machinery schedules and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

• Testing repaired machinery to verify successful restoration and adherence to performance and safety standards.

• Inspecting heavy equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions.

• Dismantling faulty equipment parts and installing new or fixed parts.

• Cleaning and lubricating equipment and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.

• Keeping detailed records of serviced machines and reporting progress and issues to management.

• Advising clients or management on recommended equipment servicing and maintenance schedules.
