Position Title: Full-time Engineering Technologist
Salary: A$ 79,499 + Superannuation
Melbourne Bionics is a sports technology company that provides early warning for major injuries in professional sports. We develop comfortable, affordable and convenient smart active compression devices that allows users to be more mobile.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the design, development, integration, and implementation of engineering solutions involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, and embedded systems
• Design, assemble, configure, and validate engineering prototypes and reference systems, including hardware integration, subsystem testing, and performance verification
• Analyse test results, identify technical issues, and implement engineering modifications to improve system performance and resolve design limitations.
• Apply engineering principles and emerging technologies to improve existing systems, optimise performance, and enhance reliability, efficiency, and functionality
• Develop and execute testing procedures to evaluate system operation, component performance, reliability, safety, and compliance with engineering specifications
• Review engineering work programs, project requirements, and technical procedures to ensure accuracy, feasibility, quality, and alignment with project objectives.
• Coordinate engineering activities involving design, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and system integration while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate engineering products and systems through technical assessments, benchmarking, and application analysis to support product development and market implementation
Qualifications: to excel in this role, you should possess;
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering
• Prior experience in computer network setup and maintenance.
• Proficiency in CAD and simulation software, including SolidWorks and ANSYS (CFD).
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
