Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to manage the daily operations of the retail store. The role involves supervising staff, managing stock and suppliers, monitoring sales performance and maintaining high customer service standards. The successful candidate will help ensure the store operates efficiently and achieves its business objectives.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring appropriate service standards, product availability and efficient store performance.

• Manage purchasing and stock levels, including ordering products, coordinating suppliers and maintaining accurate inventory records.

• Develop and implement sales, marketing and promotional strategies to increase revenue and attract customers.

• Monitor sales performance and assist with pricing decisions, using sales and market information to improve business results.

• Provide customer service, assist customers with product enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.

• Supervise, train and roster staff, ensuring employees perform their duties effectively and maintain service standards.

• Maintain financial and operational records, monitor expenses and assist with budgeting and business reporting.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and maintain a clean, safe and well-presented retail environment.

Essential Criteria

• AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree or higher qualification, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the position.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in retail management.

• Ability to analyse sales information and implement strategies to improve business performance.

• Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and make effective operational decisions.
