Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum + Superannuation

Location: Heidelberg West, Victoria

Ausam Pty Ltd, trading as Latitude Fencing, is a reputable Australian company specialising in high-quality fencing solutions and outdoor carpentry services across residential and commercial projects. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation methods.

• Accurately measure, cut, and shape timber and other materials using hand tools and advanced machinery.

• Assemble and install timber frameworks, cabinetry, and fixtures using pre-cut or flat-pack components.

• Construct and fit kitchen cabinetry, benchtops, shelving units, and bespoke furniture items.

• Install interior elements including doors, architraves, skirting boards, and wall paneling.

• Operate woodworking equipment such as panel saws and beam saws for material preparation.

• Coordinate the ordering of timber and other supplies, assist in layout planning, and ensure precision in all fabrication tasks.

• Perform repairs and modifications on existing joinery and installations.

• Uphold strict safety protocols and maintain high standards of craftsmanship across all projects.

• Manage daily setup of tools, materials, and equipment.

• Communicate project updates to management and collaborate with clients as needed.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent trade qualification); Certificate IV desirable.

• Solid understanding of construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Competency using a range of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.

• Good knowledge of building materials, safety regulations, and industry standards.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in general carpenter work.

• Strong understanding of fencing and timber structures.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• White Card (Construction Induction).

• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.

• A positive, reliable, punctual, and professional attitude on-site under weather conditions or time consuming for carpentry projects.

• Physically fit and capable of handling manual labor.

What We Offer:

• Stable, full-time position (38 hours/week) from Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
