Hairdresser(Barber)

We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Barberfield Queanbeyan T/A Radiant hair studio Fyshwick is actively looking for a Hairdresser (Barber) to join its team on a full-time basis to be placed at their salon at Fyshwick, ACT. The business is an established chain of Barber shop who offers traditional men’s grooming and high-level customer service. Business offers a unique experience among professional treatments, which include top quality traditional shave with hot/cold towel, old school haircut, all kind of zero fade, beard sculpture and more. They are looking for a skilled professional who specializes in providing barbering services to clients, typically with a focus on haircutting techniques, styling, and grooming services.

Main Responsibilities

• Cut and trim hair according to clients' instructions and/or current hairstyles, using clippers, combs, hand-held blow driers, and scissors

• Drape and pin protective cloths around customers' shoulders

• Question patrons regarding desired services and haircut styles.

• Clean and sterilize scissors, combs, clippers, and other instruments

• Performing grooming services such as shampooing hair and conditioning scalps and colouring

• Provide hair and scalp treatments such as deep conditioning, scalp massages, and hair treatments for specific concerns like dandruff or dryness. They should be able to recommend appropriate products for maintenance and improvement.

• Colouring, straightening and permanently waving hair with chemical solutions

• Possess knowledge of various hair types, textures, and styles. They should be able to advise clients on suitable haircuts, grooming techniques, and styling products that best suit their hair characteristics.

• Providing facial hair maintenance and custom shaves

• Stay informed about the latest haircutting techniques, grooming trends, and industry developments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Atleast 3 years of experience as a Barber

• At least one year of Australian experience as a Hairdresser/Barber

Skills Required-

• Attention to detail and client satisfaction

Successful candidate would be paid a base salary between A$ 80,000 to 85,000 plus Superannuation.
