Manual Machinist

Welshpool, Perth WA | $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience

Hardchrome Sales is looking for an experienced and capable Manual Machinist to join our team in Welshpool.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on machinist who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is confident working across multiple machining disciplines.

The Role

You will be working on a varied range of machining and repair work, using traditional manual machinery and equipment. We are looking for someone who can work independently, solve problems, and consistently produce high-quality results.

Your experience will ideally include:

Operating manual lathes

Operating manual milling machines

Working with large grinders

General fitting, machining and workshop duties

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Measuring and checking finished components to specification

Working across a variety of machining and repair applications

Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a machinist with strong practical skills and a broad range of workshop experience.

You will ideally be:

Relevant trade qualification’

Experienced in manual machining

Competent across multiple machining disciplines

Confident working with large components

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Quality-focused with a strong eye for detail

Reliable, flexible and willing to take on varied work

A practical problem solver with a "get it done" attitude
