About the Role
We are seeking 15 reliable and motivated Production Operators to join an established galvanising and metal manufacturing operation in the Coffs Harbour region of NSW.
These are full-time positions expected to commence in December 2026.
Successful applicants will work an average of 38 ordinary hours per week, with reasonable additional hours and overtime potentially required depending on production and operational requirements.
This is a hands-on role within a busy industrial environment involving galvanising, steel processing, production machinery and general manufacturing duties.
Key Duties
Duties may include:
Galvanising and pickling-related labouring
Loading and unloading steel and metal products
Strapping and storing products
Fettling and finishing work
Jigging and offsiding
Stacking steel and finished products
Preparing steel and metal products for processing
Operating production machinery following appropriate training
General manufacturing and production duties
Manual handling of steel and metal products
Inspecting finished products for quality
Packing and preparing completed products for storage or dispatch
Maintaining clean and organised work areas
Following workplace health and safety procedures and safe work instructions
Other reasonable production and manufacturing duties as required
Hours of Work
These are full-time positions working an average of 38 ordinary hours per week.
An example of working hours may include:
Monday to Thursday: 5:30am – 2:05pm
Friday: 5:30am – 11:35am
This is an example of the ordinary working pattern only. Actual rostered hours, start and finish times and shift arrangements may vary depending on operational and production requirements.
Employees may be required to work reasonable additional hours and overtime when required.
Shift work may also be required depending on operational needs.
Applicable overtime, shift loadings, penalty rates and allowances will be paid in accordance with the applicable industrial instrument.
Working Environment
This is a physically active, hands-on industrial role.
Applicants must be willing and able to:
Work in a galvanising, steel processing and manufacturing environment
Work around machinery, steel and industrial equipment
Work in hot and physically demanding conditions
Undertake repetitive manual tasks
Stand, bend, reach, lift and carry throughout the working day
Safely operate machinery and equipment following training and authorisation
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Follow safe work instructions and workplace procedures
Work effectively as part of a production team
Work reasonable additional hours and overtime when required
Work rostered shifts where operationally required
About You
Successful applicants will:
Be reliable and punctual
Have a strong work ethic
Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Be physically capable of undertaking manual and repetitive work
Be comfortable working in an industrial environment
Be able to follow instructions and established procedures
Work effectively as part of a team
Be available to work an average of 38 ordinary hours per week
Have flexibility to work reasonable additional hours and overtime when required
Be able to reliably attend rostered shifts
Previous experience in manufacturing, galvanising, steel processing, metal fabrication, production, construction or other industrial environments is desirable but not essential.
On-the-job training will be provided where required.
Pay & Employment Conditions
The starting rate for these positions is:
$29.98 per hour – Full-Time
Employees will work an average of 38 ordinary hours per week.
Applicable overtime, shift loadings, penalty rates and allowances will be paid in accordance with the applicable industrial instrument.
Employees will also receive full-time employment entitlements, including:
