Pepe's Mexican at Jindalee looking for Sous Chefs

Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant Jindalee is looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen.

* Lead and support the kitchen team during preparation and service.

* Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.

* Prepare and cook food according to Pepe’s recipes and standards.

* Monitor stock levels, food storage and minimise wastage.

* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.

* Train and support junior kitchen team members.

* Assist with ordering, stock control and kitchen cost management.

* Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during busy service periods.

* Work closely with the Head Chef and management to maintain Pepe’s standards.

About You

* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef.

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

* High attention to food quality and consistency.

* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

* Reliable, organised and hands-on.

* Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
