Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year + Super + Bonus Pay (Depending on Experience)

Job Type: Full-time 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm with occasional overtime if desired

Location: Corinda, Brisbane QLD (Workshop & Mobile)

The Role

We need a qualified professional to conduct mobile safety inspections, pre-purchase inspections, and general mechanical repairs. Operating autonomously in the field with central administrative support from our Corinda headquarters, you will travel to various customer locations across Brisbane to inspect light vehicles, diagnose faults, perform mechanical repairs, and complete digital paperwork.

Your Duties

Conduct thorough light vehicle safety inspections at our inspection hub in Corinda and at customer locations.

Diagnose faults and perform general mechanical repairs on customers' vehicles on-site.

Complete accurate inspection reports via the ICO digital app and issue Vehicle reports to customers.

Communicate clearly with customers and the office team to explain vehicle faults and required repairs.

Have the ability to work unsupervised.

Experience & Requirements

• Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (Australian qualification or recognised equivalent).

• Experience: 3+ years post trade Mechanical experience.

• Licensing: Current, active QLD Approved Examiner license is Required to conduct light vehicle safety inspections.

• Diagnostics: Ability to navigate factory scan tools, circuit diagrams, and live sensor data to rapidly pinpoint complex electrical, drivability, and network system faults.

• Driver's License: Current, valid open Driver's License with a clean driving record.

• Background Check: No criminal history.

• Attributes: Strong eye for detail, highly reliable, punctual while speaking to customers.
