Floor Finisher

CHS GROUP AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (Bigham Truck Repairs) are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Floor Finisher to join their team in Horsham, VIC.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Install coverings such as carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials over floors.

- Measure areas to be covered carefully, make sketches as a guideline and then cut the floor coverings precisely to fit the unique specifications of the space

- Secure floor coverings in place with tacks, staples, tape, or glue, adjusting as needed to accommodate size and type of material being used

- Securing floor coverings and fitting edge trims in doorways

- Communicate your schedule and any unexpected complications with the client in a timely, respectful, and professional manner

- Clean the workspace thoroughly before departing on the last day of the job, including vacuuming, disposing of carpet fragments, and moving furniture back into the space

- Adjust installation method (tack strips, adhesive or metal treads) according to the environment and the traffic in the room

- Move furniture as needed, taking care not to soil or damage it

Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to perform physical tasks that may become strenuous

- Communication and teamwork proficiency

- Willingness to take the time for precision

- Maintain safe work practices while meeting strict deadlines

- Knowledge of tools such as knives, staple guns, shears and glue guns

- Certificate III in Flooring Technology or relevant

- Minimum of 3 years experience in relevant field

Salary range is $75,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
