Sydney Sae Soon Presbyterian Church NSW - Associate Pastor on a full-time basis

Sydney Sae Soon Presbyterian Church in North Rocks is seeking an Associate Pastor who can lead the KM (Ministries conducted primarily in Korean, including Korean worship services, ministries, and young adult ministries) while biblically guiding and supervising the church's activities for Korean congregations and multicultural people.

Worship Services, Fellowship Meetings, Catechism classes, Bible Studies, and Prayer Meetings will be led by this person through Bible-based preaching and teaching. He or she will visit hospitals and homes to build up the congregation as well.

In addition to family counselling, he or she is also responsible for conducting funeral services, worship services of Sydney Sae Soon Presbyterian Church, fellowships, and other activities. Worship songs are usually in Korean, but sometimes English is used as well. His ability to praise in English is therefore essential.

Qualifications and conditions

- Hold a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from a theological institution with the same biblical and theological persuasions Sydney Bible-Presbyterian Church.

- The person must have been an ordained minister for at least ten years.

- Work experience in a pastoral capacity in a church for at least ten years and leading worship and preaching

- Pastoral experience in Korea must be combined with pastoral experience in a church in Australia or a country other than Korea.

- Knowledge of Korean and English worship songs

- The church needs a supervisor who can plan and organize Christmas and Easter festivals, as well as important celebrations and concerts.

- Ability to relate to all segments of our predominantly Korean congregation and multicultural community.

- Experience working with Koreans and multiculturalism in Australian churches.

- Ability to biblically guide and supervise the church's activities (outreach, regular programs, administration).

The offer of employment is conditional upon obtaining a satisfactory NSW Government Working with Children Check, Australian Federal Police Check, and meeting our employment screening requirements.

Salary range: $77,000 - $100,000 (excluding superannuation)
