About this job

Expected Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year

Some construction managers manage a site. You’ll own it.

We’re looking for a Construction Manager to take charge of the day-to-day delivery of projects across WA. You’ll be the person on the ground making sure the work actually happens — safely, efficiently, to the required quality and in line with the programme.

You’ll lead the site team, direct subcontractors and trades, manage the daily production environment and make the calls that keep the job moving.

When the Project Manager isn’t on site, you are our eyes, ears and hands on the ground.

What does “own the site” mean?

It means you’re visible.

You know what is happening today.

You know what is happening tomorrow.

And you know what could derail the job next week.

You’ll take responsibility for:

Site safety, environmental and quality standards

Leading Supervisors, Foremen and Leading Hands

Coordinating subcontractors and trades

Daily production against the project programme

Labour, plant, equipment and material utilisation

Site logistics, deliveries and access

Pre-starts, toolbox talks and site coordination

Quality inspections, ITPs and construction records

Resolving trade clashes and site issues

Identifying delays and risks early

Representing us with the client and site stakeholders

Keeping the Project Manager accurately informed of what is happening on site

The Project Manager owns the overall project. You own the site.

That relationship is critical.

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, providing accurate reporting, practical insight and the confidence that the plan is being executed properly.

The role is full-time on site from mobilisation through to practical completion. This role will suit someone who is comfortable being in the middle of the action.

You don't need to sit behind a desk waiting for someone to tell you what needs doing.

You see it.

You deal with it.

You get the right people moving.

You hold the standard.

And if something isn't right, you don't walk past it.

You’ll ideally bring:

Several years’ experience in a site-based Construction Manager, Site Manager or senior supervisory role

Experience in civil, fencing or broader construction

Proven experience leading site crews, supervisors and subcontractors

Strong practical HSEQ leadership

Experience with SWMS, permits, ITPs, inspections and quality control

Ability to read drawings, specifications and construction methodology

Strong understanding of site sequencing and trade interfaces

The confidence to deal directly with clients, subcontractors and site stakeholders

A practical, decisive approach to solving problems

Trade, construction management, engineering or related qualifications

White Card and current driver's licence

Relevant safety tickets such as Working at Heights or Traffic Control will also be valued where applicable.

What we're really looking for

Leadership.

Not the job title.

Not how many years you've been on a site.

We want someone who can walk onto a busy site and establish control without creating chaos.

Someone who can get a crew behind them.

Someone who can tell a subcontractor when the standard isn't good enough.

Someone who understands that safety isn't paperwork — it's what happens on site when nobody is watching.

And someone who knows when they can solve something themselves and when the Project Manager needs to know immediately.

The PD describes this role as having primary day-to-day responsibility for site safety, environmental and quality controls, including ensuring SWMS, permits and ITPs are followed and escalating incidents and compliance concerns.

What you'll get

You’ll be joining a growing business delivering high-security fencing and construction projects across significant infrastructure environments.

You’ll work alongside experienced Project and Senior Project Managers, Commercial, Procurement and HSEQ teams but you’ll have genuine responsibility for what happens on your site.

This isn't a role where you're expected to simply “supervise the works.” It’s a role where you are expected to lead the works.

One last thing...

If you need someone standing beside you telling you what to do every morning, this probably isn't the role for you.

If you take pride in a well-run site, know how to lead people, solve problems before they become bigger problems and want to be the person everyone knows they can rely on when things get busy...

We should talk.
