Salary/Hours

Casual hourly rate of $32.18 under the Horticulture Award, level 1 (less than three months of horticulture experience) and move to level 2 after three months experience.

Role Description

Our busy family-run apple orchard in Pakenham requires reliable and physically fit farm hands for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. No previous experience is necessary. Candidates should be motivated and be able to learn quickly.

Duties include the following and all training will be provided-

• Harvesting apples (Picking)

• Pruning, thinning and orchard maintenance

• Operation of farm machinery (if experienced)

Successful applicants will be provided with 30 hours of work per week and be available for additional hours per week where required

Successful applicants will be required for start time between 7am - 8am (weather depending). Applicants must be available Monday - Friday and work some public holidays and weekends when required.

Requirements

-Available to work weekends

-Must be physically fit (lifting, walking, bending for long periods)

-Ability to work in outdoor conditions (hot, cold and wet weather)
