Full-Time Occupational Therapist
SALARY
$98,000 + Superannuation per annum
Availability
• The role is full-time so it will be essential that candidates are available accordingly.
DUTIES
• Provide clinical knowledge and expertise to our NDIS participants
• Provide assessments of clients’ cognitive and learning abilities, living skills, emotional, mental health status and behavioural profile including children.
• Develop and monitor intervention plans and strategies for people living with complex mental health issues
• Provide input and support in relation to transition of clients to National Disability Insurance Scheme. Including assisting with planning and development of skills to build individual capacity specially for children between aged of 0-6
• Work Collaboratively with other allied health professionals
• Communicate the company’s NDIS policies and processes to all employees and is also responsible for communicating risks and responsibilities for NDIS system.
• Take reasonable care for your own health and safety
• Report any incident or hazards to the relevant Manager or Supervisor.
• Keep informed of the contents of the NDIS system and apply it to daily work.
• Ensure you are not affected by alcohol or drugs, to endanger your own or any other persons’ health and safety.
• Follow the company handbooks and manuals
• Follow your contract duties.
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the professional body
• Current AHPRA Registration
• Current Criminal Record Check
• Working with Children Check.
• First Aid certificate and CPR
• NDIS Workers Orientation
Competencies and Experience
• Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years
• Demonstrated experience in assessing and planning interventions with consumers
• Sound knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, including eligibility, assessment and planning
• Sound knowledge of the Recovery Framework, and its implications in practice Demonstrated expert
• knowledge and skills in a specific clinical speciality gained from experience working as a clinician.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team. Experience delivering services to children, young people,
• and adults with disability.
• High level of attention to detail & the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated experience in implementing person centred interventions
• Experience in writing assessments and reports to monitor participants progress
• To work closely with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of patients and their families
• Ability to work in team and maintain a good relationship
